Scott McMahon is a filmmaker who has left the sunny confines of Southern California for the green terrain of the Pacific Northwest. While this new adventure provides new experiences for his family, the challenge is whether or not he can succeed as a filmmaker outside of Hollywood, and do so in the ever-so-cool town of Portland, Oregon.
“Hollywood to Portland” is more than just a change in location … it is a psychological journey for so many independent filmmakers out there, asking the question, “Can I succeed as a filmmaker without living in Hollywood?”

And what does success mean after all?
Follow Scott’s journey as he tries to bring his creations to the world, interviews fellow Portlandian artists, and attempts “To Keep It Weird” in Portland.
